These terms and conditions (“Agreement”) sets forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the auroraborealisobservatory.com website (“Website” or “Service”) and any of its related products and services (collectively, “Services”). This Agreement is legally binding between you (“User”, “you” or “your”) and North-Star Invest AS (“North-Star Invest AS”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing and using the Website and Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Agreement, in which case the terms “User”, “you” or “your” shall refer to such entity. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with the terms of this Agreement, you must not accept this Agreement and may not access and use the Website and Services. You acknowledge that this Agreement is a contract between you and North-Star Invest AS / Visit Senja AS / Slåttebakken AS, even though it is electronic and is not physically signed by you, and it governs your use of the Website and Services.
We do not own any data, information or material (collectively, “Content”) that you submit on the Website in the course of using the Service. You shall have sole responsibility for the accuracy, quality, integrity, legality, reliability, appropriateness, and intellectual property ownership or right to use of all submitted Content. We may monitor and review the Content on the Website submitted or created using our Services by you. You grant us permission to access, copy, distribute, store, transmit, reformat, display and perform the Content of your user account solely as required for the purpose of providing the Services to you. Without limiting any of those representations or warranties, we have the right, though not the obligation, to, in our own sole discretion, refuse or remove any Content that, in our reasonable opinion, violates any of our policies or is in any way harmful or objectionable. Billing and payments
You shall pay all fees or charges to your account in accordance with the fees, charges, and billing terms in effect at the time a fee or charge is due and payable. If, in our judgment, your purchase constitutes a high-risk transaction, we will require you to provide us with a copy of your valid government-issued photo identification, and possibly a copy of a recent bank statement for the credit or debit card used for the purchase. We reserve the right to change products and product pricing at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.
Accuracy of information
Occasionally there may be information on the Website that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to promotions and offers. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the Website or Services is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). We perform regular backups of the Website and its Content and will do our best to ensure completeness and accuracy of these backups. In the event of the hardware failure or data loss we will restore backups automatically to minimize the impact and downtime.
During your use of the Website and Services, you may enter into correspondence with or participate in promotions of advertisers or sponsors showing their goods or services through the Website and Services. Any such activity, and any terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such activity, is solely between you and the applicable third party. We shall have no liability, obligation or responsibility for any such correspondence, purchase or promotion between you and any such third party.

Booking Policy / Terms And Conditions

- Please send us an email with arrival times 7-10 days prior visit so we can arrange pickup at the Bus Station / Boat terminal. Email: email@example.com
- On arrival day: Please make sure to contact us via Phone / WhatsApp +47 96 99 99 96 (Reception) / email / text message so we are sure that all details regarding pickup are ok and that you are on schedule
- IF WE DONT GET ARRIVAL TIMES 7-10 DAYS PRIOR VISIT – AND IF YOU DONT CONTACT US ON ARRIVAL DAY WE CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR EXTRA TRANSPORTATION COST
Transfer Bardufoss Airport (BDU)
Pickup from Bus terminal to the observatory is included for all guests.
After landing in Bardufoss Airport you go outside and find the white shuttle Bus – FLYBUSSEN – tell the driver that you are going to the bus terminal in FINNSNES (where we pick you up) – and then go back in to get your luggage
(Shuttle bus cost from Bardufoss airport (BDU) to the bus terminal in FINNSNES is not included)
Transportation from the observatory to the Bus station is also included on departure day. There is one shuttle to each departure in Bardufoss Airport so you will always get back to the airport in good time for your flight.

Transfer Tromsø Airport
If you arrive in Tromsø you can also easily arrange a tour with the express boat going from Tromsø to Finnsnes. This is a very easy solution and a very scenic route. We will then pick up (included) at the boat terminal in Finnsnes.

We ask that you keep your apartment tidy during your stay, especially the kitchen, and that you leave it in a tidy state upon departure. Please note that housekeeping services does not include the washing of dishes and kitchen utensils. If dishes are left for housekeeping upon your departure extra cleaning charges may apply.
Fjösn Restaurant & Bar – Having dinner at the resort?
Our restaurant is popular and often fully booked. We recommend that you book table 3-4 weeks before arrival if you want to eat in the restaurant.

The weather in the arctic can at times be hard to predict. Therefore we can not guarantee Northern Light. That being said the chances are high.
If the weather do not collaborate our plan B with landscape is stunning and there are still many activities available.
It is important that you notify us if you have any of the medical conditions listed below or others we should to know of:

Use of wheelchair or other aids for movement
Machines of any kind. (Ex. breathing aid during night)
We have the right to refuse participants to join the tour if we feel the tour is to physically and/or to mentally demanding for them.

We strongly recommend you have a very good travel insurance. Photo gear and arctic clothing equipment are expensive, therefore make sure your travel
insurance cover them. Visit Senja AS / Slaatebakken AS can not be held responsible for any injuries or broken gear.
Travel insurance is also important in case of cancellation (read fees / terms) – Visit Senja AS / Slaatebakken AS can not be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances that may occur.
Lost or damaged equipment
Take precautions for rain, wind snow and slippery/ice covered ground. Equipment lost or damaged is not replaced or covered by Visit Senja AS / Slaatebakken AS.
We strongly recommend you have a very good travel insurance. Photo gear and arctic clothing equipment are expensive, therefore make sure your travel insurance cover them.
Travel insurance is also important in case of cancellation fees / terms
15% of the total amount is payed as a deposit upon booking. The remaining 85% is due latest a minimum of two months prior to arrival date.
Please note that we reserve the amount for your booking 6-8 months before your stay. Cancellation policy below and in practical info page is still valid.

Less than 2 months prior start date the deposit is non-refundable
Less than 4 weeks prior start date – no refund
