We have had guests doing this Tromso City day trip for 3 seasons. Feedback is that a day trip really was enough (Our guests are normally here for aurora & relaxation, not city life & party – But it is important for many to go see the famous landmarks in Tromso)
- Tromso Cable Car, called “Fjellheisen” in Norwegian, is a true icon in Tromso! Dating back to 1961, and is loved by both the locals and tourists. In my opinion, it is the number one must-do-thing when visiting Tromso. From the top, you get an amazing view of Tromso city and it`s beautiful surroundings of mountains and fjords.
- The Arctic Cathedral, or Ishavkatedralen in Norwegian, is a real landmark in Tromso. It is on every postcard and is THE image of Tromso.
- Polaria is kind of a museum but also so much more. It is a combination of an experience center and an aquarium where you will learn all about Arctic nature and animals.
